Nice to meet you...
My name is Sarah.
I will tell you that I grew up surrounded by plants.
My mother owned a flower shop in my small hometown,
Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. If I wasn't in school,
I was helping her clean flowers, rearrange the cooler,
create hand tied bouquets and deliver them around town.
Our home was also home to many mature houseplants
handed down to my mother from hers.
I grew up under rhododendron forests, in grassy swamps
and fields of horse manure.
I remember feeling a deep, innate connection to nature.
I encourage the community to reconnect with the natural world.
Through my greenspace installations, floral design and workshops,
I hope to educate people about biophilic design and create nurturing environments for others to enjoy.
I encourage you to harness the powerful benefits
of living with plants.
I am humbled to have had the opportunity to work, create and play with these incredible businesses.
To me, collaboration is an exploration of our community and allows us to celebrate each other's success.
If you have a project and would like to add a natural element, let's chat!
